I would like to share a positive experience with you.
I configured my own accounts payable/receivable program in Excel and have used it for as
long as I have been in the TI profession. I have a fair working knowledge of Excel but not of
Access. So every time I was paid or had to make a payment I had to do multiple entries.
I received an email from a company called PUDDesign (http://www. puddesigns. com/index.
html) offering to "help Linguists Organize, Track and Manage their business."
They have many options for Interpreters and Translators. I bought the one that suited my
needs, but it still lacked some features. They assigned a contact person to work with me,
who answered my emails within less than one hour. She also offered to include my Logo, for
a small fee, since I did not want to spend time on that. When the database was ready, she
set up a web conference and we spent almost a whole hour going through the program.
Now I have all of my information in one database, I can query it by client, date, invoices
paid/unpaid, etc. I can export to PDF, Excel, Word and whatnot! I can print Invoices and
Reports.
I am really impressed with the individual support I had, and excited with the time I will save
now!
